An Ode to Ben & Jerry's Frozen Yoghurt!

When I open up your lid and look in all delight,

I cannot wait to get stuck in for I know that you are light.

From your creamy cherry yoghurt to your chocolate chunks galore,

Even after the tubs finished I'm still hankering for more.

I remember our first meeting, so fondly I do tell

After all this time I know you still have served me well.

To the movie nights we've spent together, the laughter and the tears.

The fun to still look forward to in up and coming years.

Cherry Garcia you are my fave, there is no doubt about that,

Besides the added bonus that there is no added fat!

I know this is steering off the basis of my blog but when you mix boredom with a love of Ben & Jerry's, this happens!

Hope you enjoyed!

Myface.cosmetics Mascara!

Hey lovelies,

I recently did a post about some MyFace products that had caught my eye and thought I would try them out. I have also just bought their mascara and thought I would give this a trial run too!

First impressions, I really liked the packaging. It was sleek and sophisticated looking and was a nice size too. At the price of £10.49 I thought this would be a decent mascara to use.

However, unfortunately the same can't be said for the actual product itself. I found it dried very quickly on my lashes which meant applying a second coat made my lashes clumpy and thick. With this product I wasn't able to really give my eyes any 'definition' and I found it was hard to work with.
On the plus side, the brush was a good size and did cover my lashes evenly but it was shame the mascara dried too quickly.

So overall I'm afraid I'm not going to be in hurry to buy this again. I do, in my opinion, feel you can get better mascaras at a cheaper price. I am disappointed as I am enjoying using their other products but for me, I think I will be looking elsewhere next time I need to stock up on this particular item.

Has anyone else tried this? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments!

Wave The Magic Wand....!

Hey lovelies,
Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Yesterday myself and the lovely May hit the shops and was very excited to see the new HerStyler Conical Wands!

May's done a great review on her blog (which I recommend reading!) but thought I would show a couple of photos to show how well the style has stayed in overnight! May did a fabulous job at waving her magic wand to create these gorgeous curls!:

And this is a photo from this morning. It's kept the curls in really well!

The Newest Addition To The Wardrobe..!

Hello lovelies,

I absolutely adore dressing up and putting on the highest heels so when I came across these beautiful shoes, the Space Walkers, from Office I just had to have them!
I love the style of the shoes (and of course the killer heels!) and the different colours that run through them which give me some much more option when choosing what to wear!
This was just a quick post to share with you my new love! I haven't yet found the ideal outfit to wear them with yet but for now, I'm content to know that they're mine!

Anyone else got a favourite pair of shoes thay can't be without? Leave me a comment!

The Bzzzz of Burt's Bees Lip Balm

Hey lovelies!

Hope you've all been having a lovely weekend!
The snow has been pretty amazing, and hoping it will stick around for a white Christmas, but on the down side, with the winter weather, it can wreak havoc with with lips leaving them dry and sore. So of late, I've been reaching for Burt's Bees Lip Balm with Mango butter! A nice exotic scent if you're getting the winter blues!

It is 100% natural and 'specially formulated' with Mango Butter. It leaves lips smooth, nourished and hydrated. The balm is easy to apply and sweeps over lips with no problem. Packaging is nice and small so ideal for your pocket or bag and at a price of £3.49 I think it's a decent price. I feel I'll bee (sorry I couldn't resist!) getting my money's worth.

Which Burt's Bees products are your favourites! Love your comments so leave me one!

My Face!

Hey Girlies!
After having my regular browse round Boots I discovered a new (to me!) range of makeup named My Face Cosmetics. I was immediately drawn to the shelves as, on each shelf, they had makeup for fair, medium and dark toned skin! Perfect! Blushers, Lipsticks, powders etc to suit your skin tone on each shelf! Easy!
I would have loved to have bought everything on the 'fair' shelf but I managed to contain myself (and my coins in my purse) and came away with a couple of items to try out.

I was after a new lipstick but sometimes find it difficult to get the right colour for my pale complexion. I found 'Vintage Pink' which is a nude, pinkish, brown tone which is natural and gives the face a warm glow. (152)
I also purchased face powder from the fair collection just named 'Fair' and it's so pale which is perfect as I find it doesn't distort the colour of my foundation and stays put all day! I really liked the packaging with a decent sized mirror for those minor touch-ups!

I can't say this range is budget price as both the lipstick and powder cost £9.99 each but I find it is definately worth the money and will be buying these again!

You can check out their website at myfacecosmetics.com.

Anyone else tried their range? Let me know!

No 7's Natural Blush!

Hey girlies,

Hope you're all having a wonderful Wednesday!

I do apologise for not being on here updating recently, I've been very busy over the last few weeks but I'm finally back! I had a nice browse around Boots yesterday and after getting my must haves of foundation and concealer I thought I'd treat myself to a new blusher! My friend had this blusher and after she let me use it I completely fell in love with it and had to buy my own!

The blusher in question is No 7's Natural Blush (£8.75 from Boots) and comes in a range of colours to suit all skin tones, Soft Damson, Honey, Candy Pink and Coral Flush.

I had been using 'Honey' and the shade really suits my skin, as it's more of a subtle burnt orange rather than a pinky shade.

No 7 Natural Blush is really soft and I don't need to use a lot to give my cheeks a natural healthy glow!

Would definately recommend this to anyone wanting to add a new blusher to their makeup!

Anyone else tried this out? Leave a comment and let me know!

Avon's Foot Works Cherry Ice Cooling Foot Spray!

Hey girlies,
Hope you're all having a marvellous Monday!

I came across this must-have product from Avon and fell in love! It's been a real feet saver when I've been out and about enjoying the sights and sounds on foot!

It comes in a pump spray in a bottle of 100ml and smells deliciously of cherries and it's handbag friendly too so it's great to whip out whenever your feet are feeling hot and tired!

A spritz can leave your feet cool and fresh whilst smelling sweetly of cherry! Perfect for those long days on foot!

So go on and treat your feet!

A Touch of Magic!

Hey Girlies,
Hope you're all have a tremendous Tuesday!

I wanted to share with you all a thought on a new concealer I have been using for the past few days and I'm pretty impressed with the results!

I purchased L'Oreal's True Match Touche Magique Concealer from Boots for £6.99. It was true to my skin tone and covered blemishes and dark circles under the eyes pretty well! The colour blended really well and after using under my foundation, my skin looked a lot clearer.

Touche Magique Concealer comes in a 'wand' like shape with a brush which made the application super easy.

It comes in 6 shades so you're bound to find the one for you and I've found I don't have to use a lot in each use so it should last me a long time!

But what do we think girlies? Has it worked its magic on you? I love your comments so go right ahead and leave me one!

EOTD!

Hey Girlies,

Hope you're all having a fabulous Friday!

My gorgeous friend has come up for the weekend and she was kind enough to let me loose on her to give her an eye makeover!

This was the result:

I used eyeshadows by Urban Decay and used Sellout as the base shade then I used YDK and then Twice Baked just on the lid.

I then finished off with a little brown eyeliner and a coat of mascara and she was good to go!

Collection 2000 Pressed Powder

Hey ladies,

Hope you're all having a great Thursday!
I love it when you wander round stores and end up coming back with little gems you never went in for in the first place!

This happened when I was in Asda the other day and as always I love looking at the comestics aisle! I came across a makeup range I had never really heard of before, Collection 2000.

I was in desperate need of some face powder and after seeing the super cheap price tag I thought I would give it a go.

The results I got I was really pleased with! The powder is ultra fine so easily blends into the skin without making the face look cakey or powdery and it has the added benefit of Vitamin E, UVA UVB sunscreen!

I got the palest shade (Ivory) but there are 8 other shades available to choose from to suit all types of skin tones. I didn't need to apply a lot and it controlled shine all day and kept my makeup staying put!

I have to say at such a bargain price and a range that isn't the most well known, it really exceeded my expectations. I think I may have to stock up!

Anyone else tried any Collection 2000 products? What do we think?

Go On, Have A Bite!

Hey GirliesThis is a quick post about a summer fragrance I bought a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it!

I bought the DKNY Ripe Raspberry Candy Apple Eau de Parfum and it has a lovely light scent of cola and of course raspberries! The fabulous fruity scent lasts all day so I only need a little spritz and I'm good to go.

The gorgeous candy apple packaging also caught my eye and looks great on my dresser! You can get DKNY's Limited Edition Candy Apples in two other fragrances, Sweet Caramel and Juicy Berry! I've not tried those yet but I will have to get my skates on if it's limited edition! DKNY Candy Apples are 50ml and costs around £30.00 from Boots.

So come on girls! What you waiting for...take a bite!

Hence the lack of blog posts and tweets the last couple of weeks! Then to top it all off my camera wanted to jump on the bandwagon and fail to work as well!

But now that my laptop is back up and running (I will need to be buying a new camera really soon..), I will keeping up to date with my posts and reading all your lovely blogs too!

Avon Skin So Soft!

Hey girlies,

Hope you're all having a tremendous Tuesday!

So the sun has got his hat on which means one of many things.......Bare legs!! Aaarrgh!

It's great to be able to get the summer dresses out once more but if you're like me and a little conscious about going out with bare legs then I may have just the solution for you!

I came across this beauty a while back (I had mentioned it in my Avon Haul post a little while back) and I have been using it over the last few days with shorts and dresses and I have to say I am very impressed!

It's basically a liquid foundation for legs but it's not thick and feels just like a moisturiser. Providing coverage for flawless looking legs and giving a more 'youthful and toned appearance' it ticks all my boxes so far!

Depending on your skin tone you can get Avon So Soft Flawless Legs in Fair/Medium and Medium/Dark.

Avon So Soft goes on like a moisturiser which you rub all over your legs until it's all blended in and voila! Your legs look flawless!

At a price of £5.00 it's definately a product I will stocking up on this summer so bring on the sun!

60 Second Fix For Hands by Crabtree & Evelyn!

Hey ladies,

Hope you're all having a marvellous Monday!

I am very excited to tell you about a product that I was given as a gift and I absolutely love it!
You want to be 'seconds away from incredibly soft hands'? Yes please!!
I do sometimes suffer from dry hands a lot, either by bad weather, or my desperate desire for clean hands. I do use a lot of various hand creams and whilst they do the job temporarily I sometimes feel I'm back to square one later on in the day. So when I tried this product out my hands were in for a real treat!

In the 60 Second Fix Kit you get two tubes. One labelled Hand Recovery which you use first and then follow up with Hand Therapy to 'maintain the soft, smooth hands.' It even comes with a little instruction booklet of how to use!

The idea of 60 Second Fix is to transform hands to a super soft state in the time it takes to wash them! Simples!

The Hand Recovery is like an exfoliator, which you rub all over your hands as though you were washing them, for about 15-20 seconds, wash off, pat dry and ta-da! Beautifully soft hands!

You can then use the Hand Therapy which is a cream to continue to keep your hands smooth and soft and both these products smell divine!

I found this was by far the best product I have ever used and will continue to use this in the future!
Anyone else been amazed by 60 Second Fix? I love your comments so let me know below!

After the sun decided to pop on his hat and come out (albeit briefly!) it had put me in a really sunshiney mood! So to celebrate I thought I would paint my nails in Avon's Sunshine Yellow!

I was quite undecided about this colour as to whether I would suit it etc but after wearing it a couple of times I am really growing to love it and think it will look gorgeous with a summery white dress!

Review of the 4 Pad Lean Machine!

Hey lovelies,
Finally this is my review for the 4 Pad Lean Machine that Natalie from The Beauty Works was kind enough to send me! I've been doing this 'workout' for around 2 weeks daily but what did I think?.....

Well I have to say I have noticed a difference! I may not be walking around with a visible 6 pack but I certainly can say that my stomach feels tighter and my muscles firmer and I'm sure will continue to do so the longer I use this product.

What I really loved about the 4 Pad Lean Machine was that it doesn't in any way hurt or feel uncomfortable whilst working its magic! I can happily sit in front of the t.v or blog away as the product isn't bulky or require a lot of space.

The set up is also super easy, it comes with an instruction booklet that clearly explains everything you need to make the 4 Pad Lean Machine work effectively as well as tips on how best to use it.

You can choose how high or how low you want the workout to be and I was up to setting 6 the more I got used to it.

So to round up, I absolutely love this product! It's compact, it does what it says and is perfect for my continuing quest to get a bikini body! I definately would recommend the 4 Pad Lean Machine and at a price of £34.99 I really do think this product is a bargain compared with a lot of other toning products out there.

Hope you enjoyed this review and if you can check out my introductory post on the 4 Pad Lean Machine below!

Thanks for reading!

4 Pad Lean Machine Compact!

Hey girlies!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

I was sent a product to review from the fabulous Natalie at The Beauty Works. The 4 Pad Lean Machine!

The Lean Machine Compact is "specially designed to firm and tone muscles by electronically stimulating them to contract" while you simply do nothing! Perfect!

It came all packaged in a small "briefcase" with all the parts. This contained 4x Pads, 2x Jack Leads, 1x Conductor Gel (250ml), battery, Instruction Leaflet, Guarantee Card and the Lean Machine Unit.

After reading the Instruction Leaflet, I was ready to get started and the set up, I found, was really simple. It even comes with diagrams of where you can put the Pads. Abdomen, thighs, front and back of arms, lower back etc so you can really use it everywhere!

You apply a thin layer of the Conductor Gel on either the Pads or the skin itself and place it, with the straps, on the desired place of your body. You can then choose how high or low you want the contractions to be. As I have just started using the Lean Machine I had put it on the low setting but as I continue to use it I will put it on higher settings. Again this is really simple to use as it is adjusted on numbered dials. A green light flashes each time a pulse is sent to your muscles. It's nice and small so it is very easy to carry around if you need to.

So in a mission, when everyone is trying to get that bikini body in time for summer, I will be trialing this product daily for about 2 -3 weeks which is around the average time to see a difference to see if indeed I can look great for summer!

In my eagerness to get started, I have the pads on my stomach muscles now whilst writing this post! As my muscles are contracting it feels almost like a vibration and isn't uncomfortable. So I can go about as usual whilst it gets to work!

This was just an introductory post but I will be giving you all an update in a few days time so watch this space!

Bath Time!

Hello Lovelies!,

Two of my favourite bath time must haves are these two beauts which are perfect to relax and unwind!
"Calm One, Calm All" I absolutely adore! It is such a soothing scent and has "moisture-magnetising" skin conditioners! This lovely stuff has made my skin super super soft and it is so dreamy, it's the perfect solution after a hard day! It contains lemon balm and mallow extracts. (Yummy!)

I then couple this with "The Righteous Butter" which contains shea butter and aloe vera. You apply it on damp skin massage it all in. Again it has made my skin really soft. I don't think I can praise this product enough!

After all this talk I think I'm off for a soak in the tub!

"What's In My Bag?"

Hey girlies,

I really enjoying reading everyone's "What's In My Bag?" posts so thought it was about time I did one of my own!

Now that the sunshine is finally out so are my summer handbags and my favourite one is this yellow monstrosity!:

I bought it from River Island about two years ago and I absolutely love it for the following reasons. It is huge! You could possibly fit a couple of people in there, it is a really great bold statement colour that will go with anything and everything, it has really pretty lining inside and more pockets than you can shake a stick at!

So without further ado, let's have a delve at what is inside my bottomless pit/mary poppins bag (sorry no lampstands I'm afraid!)

Sunglasses from Topshop - for all those "paparazzi!" moments! heehee

My phone - always useful.

Comb - to tame my tresses whilst on the go!

Notebook - always handy to have especially when I have a idea for a blog post!

Ariel pen - I absolutely adore this pen and a total bargain for 30p at Wilkinsons! Sadly due to over use the light no longer works : (

Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes - great to have for makeup disasters on the move!

Umbrella - a must have with British weather!

Makeup bag! - I'll be doing a "What's In My Makeup Bag?" Post soon so keep you're eyes peeled for that!

Andrex Hand Sanitizer - I am a bit of an obsessive when it comes to clean hands so I always need this!

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated Hand Cream - I do get dry hands a lot, but I am still undecided on whether I like this one or not. It is concentrated which I find makes it hard to evenly smooth over my hands and it's quite a sticky feeling, but I will persevere!

Purse - Haven't always got money in it to spend mind!

Batiste Travel Dry Shampoo - This is always useful to have if you're having "one of those hair days"

Estee Lauder Sensuous perfume - I really love this fragrance and so handy to have in such a small size!

Ipod - I can't do without music!

Pirate Plasters and Grog flavoured mints - Ok, this is rather random but I love all things nautical and piratey so these are always in my bag!

Little Green Tin lipbalm from Superdrug - always need to have this to make my lips supersoft!

I also usually have my camera in my bag too but obviously this couldn't be included in my picture!

Hope you enjoyed the adventure into my bag!

Rock out with Rockaholic's Shine Blaster!

Hey girlies,

A product I have completely fallen in love with is Rockaholic's Rock Out Shine Blaster!

My hair is fairly thick so quite prone to going frizzy but with this product it rarely happens! With Rockaholic's Shine Blaster a little goes a long way and I only need to squirt about a 10 pence piece size into my hands and work through the hair to the ends to give shine and prevent frizzy, flyaway hair! It doesn't leave my hair looking oily or greasy either and you can use this on both damp or dry hair which is a real bonus!

Another good thing about this product is it is a really decent size to pop in your handbag so you never need to be caught out again whilst on the move!

This little gem can vary in price depending on what store you go to but I would really would recommend trying it out!

NOTD!

Hey girls,

Just a quick post on (yes, again!) Avon's Nailwear Pro in "Luxe Lavender"!

Firstly I would like apologise for the very bad quality of these pictures! For some reason my camera is only wanting to take blurry pictures at the moment until I can figure out how to fix it! This nail polish does look a lot better in real life but just to give you an idea:

I am really liking this colour of nail polish, it's really pretty and is perfect for Spring/Summer! It contains diamond dust and acrylic which strengthens and adds shine. At only £4 it's an absolute steal! You can get these in all kinds of shades, including Viva Pink, Cherry Jubilee, Midnight Plum and Vintage Blue!

I've had this on for a few days and it hasn't chipped, I haven't had to re-do or apply any more and for only a coat of two it's stayed on really well! I am really impressed with Avon's nail polishes, they are purse friendly, don't chip and dry very quickly!

Anybody else got any Avon Nail Polishes? What's your favourite shade? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Review on The Beauty Works Airbrush Tanning System!

Hey Girlies,

A couple of weeks ago I was sent an Airbrush Tanning System by the lovely Natalie at The Beauty Works to review!

The Airbrush Tanning System came in the form of a gun. Brill! I thought, this surely would mean no fuss and no mess in my quest to create a perfect, even, streak-free natural looking tan!

I really am a very pale girl (as hopefully you can see from the picture) so trying to get a tan can be quite a mission (as many other pale bloggers may agree!)

The set up of the gun is really very simple. The pack comes with two 100ml of tanning lotion. You pour the lotion into the clear base of the gun, so you can see how full or how empty it is, and you are ready to go! You need to charge the gun up for at least 6 hours before spray tanning to allow it work properly and spray evenly.

I sprayed the tanning lotion on my arms lightly at first and rubbed with a tanning mitt to blend in. Straight away I saw a difference, a lovely sun-kissed look. The great thing about the Airbrush Tanning System is it is so easy to spray as little or as much as you like to build the look you want to acheive, whether a full-on exotic tan or just a healthy sun-kissed look. I sprayed the lotion about 3 or 4 times on each arm very lightly and from about 30 cms away. After rubbing evenly over my arms and allowing to try which again was very quick, I had just the look I was after, it wasn't too much but really did look like I had enjoyed a couple of days in the sunshine and benefited with a really natural tan!

I have found with a lot of other self-tanning products, the scent that is left can be quite unpleasant but with the tanning lotion with the Airbrush Tanning System the scent was rather nice, and didn't have me rushing to the shower in order to get rid of the smell!

I definately prefer this way of self-tanning to gradual build tanning lotions which from my own experiance has left me with streaky orangey patches, as you can't always tell what it looks like until about 24 hours afterwards whereas Airbrush Tanning is an instant tan and if you do make a mistake it is so easy to rub off and start again. The Airbrush Tanning System says the tan lasts about 4 days but I found that the tan did remain a good week. Even though it was starting to fade, it still looked really natural.

After I had tried this tanning product, I got compliments from family and friends who all said it looked really natural, after I revealed to them it was in fact a self-tanning product.
The one downside to the Airbrush Tanning System which was not the way the product was but more to the actual manufacturers fault, was that the gun started leaking as I was using it! It may well have unfortunately just been the gun I was using but if this was to ever happen to a customer, you would simply send it back to The Beauty Works and they would send you a replacement!

So to round up, I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing this product, it is the perfect cheat tan that looks so natural . Streak-free, no mess, no fuss and the added bonus that it smells good! This is definately my favourite way of creating a quick natural tan and will continue to use this in the future!

If you're interested in purchasing this product I really would recommend it! The price of the Airbrush Tanning System is £29.99.

Thank you for taking the time to read and hope you enjoyed this review!
