Lasting Performance, Lasting Impression

Hey Lovelies,

Hope you're all having a marvellous Monday!

I had bought a new foundation a while ago and had been meaning to do a post about what I think is a super find! Max Factor's Lasting Performance Foundation!

Typical scenario, pale skinned girl looking for an equally pale foundation and after countless trials and testers, still no joy! Until that is I came across this beaut!
I am always on the look out for a new foundation that not only gives great coverage but that doesn't always make me look a much darker shade. I had for a while tried Estee Lauder's Double Wear foundation in Shell and for a while I thought I had hit the jackpot, the coverage was ideal but after a while I soon realised that the shade was slightly darker than my skin tone and also rather masking!

Max Factor's Lasting Performance does exactly what it says on the....er..bottle. It lasts all day, without going patchy or dry my skin out as few others can do. The colour (100 Fair) is a pretty spot on match for my skin and covers blemishes and red areas a treat! I really liked this product as the coverage was high but without making my face, heavy, masking or dull.

It got even better when it cost £9.99 from Boots! I had also cut down on how much I spent compared to other premium brand foundations I had tried in the past!

I tried to do a swatch but my camera wasn't picking it up very well on my hand so I'm showing you a snippet of my face with the foundation on. I haven't put anything on my neck so you can see how well it matches my skin tone.

So overall impression! Definately a lasting one! My favourite so far, I think I may have found my match!

Anyone else tried this? What did we think? Leave a comment and let me know!

  3. Hi! Question please from a fellow pale girl looking for foundation: so this is lighter than EL Doublewear Shell? Also than Studio Fix NC15? (that one definitely was too dark on me, that's why I'm a bit sceptical if the MF would match) Thanks for the review!! :)

  4. Hi Vedra! I really felt that it was lighter than both of those foundations you mentioned. I had the same problem as you with the Mac Studio Fix NC15, and I was a little unsure about trying a drugstore foundation as to whether it would match my skintone but I was definately impressed with MaxFactor! For £9.99 it's not a bad price at all to try out! Hope it works for you! xxx
