Out With The Old and In With The New!

Hey lovelies,

I would like to wish you all a fantastic New Year! And hope you make this year really special!

Definately got some New Year's Resolutions for this year including using up all my makeup until I run out and buy some more. I am a main culprit at getting sucked into those deals and end up bringing home extra mascaras, another set of foundation and eye shadow palettes to last a lifetime!

An Ode to Ben & Jerry's Frozen Yoghurt!

When I open up your lid and look in all delight,

I cannot wait to get stuck in for I know that you are light.

From your creamy cherry yoghurt to your chocolate chunks galore,

Even after the tubs finished I'm still hankering for more.

I remember our first meeting, so fondly I do tell

After all this time I know you still have served me well.

To the movie nights we've spent together, the laughter and the tears.

The fun to still look forward to in up and coming years.

Cherry Garcia you are my fave, there is no doubt about that,

Besides the added bonus that there is no added fat!

I know this is steering off the basis of my blog but when you mix boredom with a love of Ben & Jerry's, this happens!

Myface.cosmetics Mascara!

Hey lovelies,

I recently did a post about some MyFace products that had caught my eye and thought I would try them out. I have also just bought their mascara and thought I would give this a trial run too!

First impressions, I really liked the packaging. It was sleek and sophisticated looking and was a nice size too. At the price of £10.49 I thought this would be a decent mascara to use.

However, unfortunately the same can't be said for the actual product itself. I found it dried very quickly on my lashes which meant applying a second coat made my lashes clumpy and thick. With this product I wasn't able to really give my eyes any 'definition' and I found it was hard to work with.

On the plus side, the brush was a good size and did cover my lashes evenly but it was shame the mascara dried too quickly.

So overall I'm afraid I'm not going to be in hurry to buy this again. I do, in my opinion, feel you can get better mascaras at a cheaper price. I am disappointed as I am enjoying using their other products but for me, I think I will be looking elsewhere next time I need to stock up on this particular item.

Wave The Magic Wand....!

Yesterday myself and the lovely May hit the shops and was very excited to see the new HerStyler Conical Wands!

May's done a great review on her blog (which I recommend reading!) but thought I would show a couple of photos to show how well the style has stayed in overnight! May did a fabulous job at waving her magic wand to create these gorgeous curls!:

And this is a photo from this morning. It's kept the curls in really well!
